Claims made at destination – Finnish guests
Here you can read about incidents that can lead to reimbursement at destination. As a guide you have the authority to offer economic compensation to guests that have bought travel insurance with Gouda. Information about whether the guest has bought the insurance can be found on the travel certificate.
Reimbursement can be given in the following cases:
Illness/Injury
If a guest is affected by illness or injury and has visited a medical doctor, you are able to reimburse the guest for the doctor’s fee and medicine that is prescribed by the treating doctor. Reimbursement can cover costs up to EUR 200.
Theft/Robbery/Burglary
If a guest has property stolen, reimbursement can be offered if the guest has reported the incident to the police. Reimbursement can cover costs up to EUR 200.
Luggage delay
If a guest is affected by a luggage delay reimbursement can be given to the guest if the luggage delay is reported to the airline and provided that the guest can show a Property Irregularity Report. Reimbursement can be given in accordance to the following interval of time (4/12/24 hours – 30/50/50 EUR). Reimbursement can be given with a maximum sum of 130 EUR if the luggage delay exceeds 24 hours. Reimbursement is given with a fixed rate why the guest doesn’t need to show any receipts of purchased items.
